Ammonia water is a relatively dangerous chemical substance, and there are many aspects that we need to pay attention to when using this product. If we do not pay attention to it during use, it can also cause significant harm to ourselves. I believe everyone should be aware of this! What should the staff pay attention to when applying ammonia water?
The important thing when using ammonia water is to prevent volatilization and damage to crops. So when applying, it is necessary to achieve "not leaving water, not leaving soil". When applying, water should be added to dilute the ammonia solution, usually by 20-30 times, because the thicker the ammonia solution, the more volatile it will be; Not leaving the soil means deeply covering the soil, generally requiring a soil cover of at least 7 centimeters. If diluting ammonia water in paddy fields, it needs to be prepared downwind to prevent ammonia diffusion and damage to crops.
Ammonia water can be used as base fertilizer and topdressing, but it is not suitable for use as seed fertilizer or seedling topdressing. When applied in paddy fields, it can be diluted several times before being directly poured into the field and immediately plowed. If used as topdressing, do not splash it on the leaves. Use an ammonia fertilizer applicator to insert into the soil layer 7-8 centimeters deep and inject concentrated ammonia water. When applying on dry land, deep trenches can be opened under the sowing ditch or on both sides of the crop. Use a rubber hose to apply appropriately diluted ammonia water to a depth of 7-8 centimeters, and immediately cover with soil. Apply ammonia water as much as possible on cloudy mornings or evenings when the temperature is lower. The general dosage is 25-30 kilograms of concentrated ammonia solution per acre.
